New found inspiration for my daughter Mackenzie's Room

This is going to be the new theme in my daughter's room. I came across the design while spending the weekend with the owners of The Olde World Quilt Shoppe in Phoenix, AZ. They put together this cute panel wall hanging as a display. It's a work in progress so I probably shouldn't be sharing it yet, but I LOVED it and my daughter is thrilled by the new look her room will have. When the wall hanging is complete and on display in the shop, it will be embellished with all kinds of great bits and baubles...I can't wait to see it finished. For now I'm happy with just getting the fabrics ordered and getting started with a quilt of my own. If your interested too, just check out their store online. A HUGE thanks goes out to a group of people I've never met

Last night while struggling to help my son study for his 8th grade honors algebra exam. I was at a complete loss and as a last resort posted on etsy forums with a couple math questions and crossed my fingers in hopes someone out there would know something to help. I was amazed at how quickly several people were to jump in and help.

A weekend of fun

We finally broke out the pitching machine my husband had as a kid. It's been in the garage for longer then I care to think about. But we broke it out this weekend and got it set up to play with the kids. What a blast! I was shocked at the speed that it threw the ball. YIKES! The kids however loved it. Mackenzie much more then her brothers. She lasted for hours just playing catch with it. The boys got hot and headed inside after just a few pitches.

Our Bamboo has just gone wild

Our bamboo has just gone through a huge growth spurt. Seems that springtime does wonders for it. After watching it grow so quickly over the past few weeks I was inspired to add a bamboo decal to our collection. I love how it looks in our backyard and love the way it can add a great accent to a room.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy 10th Birthday Tommy

Today is my son's 10th birthday. I'm hoping he has a great day at school. He's taking cosmic brownies to share with his class. Then when he gets home we'll go out to a fun family dinner at a restaurant of his choice. After that I think we're headed to the new Wolverine movie.
