Looking for the perfect quote for tonight
I was searching for a good quote for the end of another long day....I was thinking something hopeful and inspirational...but when I came across this one it just felt right...
"Due to budget cuts, the light at the end of the tunnel will be out." unknown

I came across a website I will definately be checking out
I love to read and while sitting here in the ICU waiting room, I came across an article about a website called http://www.whatshouldireadnext.com/ . The website is set up to recommend similar style books, it said to type in the title and author of the book you just read and enjoyed and it would recommend a new title in a similar style.
There were a couple other sites recommended in the same article but for the life of me I can't remember exactly what they were but I know I was interested enough to write them down.

We've gotten a little behind on getting orders processed
I am currently spending the majority of my time in the ICU with my mom. She was admitted on Tuesday and we're taking things day to day. I'll be able to start getting orders out again on Tuesday the 28th. If you've placed an order or are waiting on proofs, I truly appreciate your patience while I help my family.

We're having a sidewalk sale...
Well a cyber-side walk sale. I need to clean out and get organized so I've cut several decals from extra pieces of vinyl, ends of rolls that aren't big enough to cut a full size large decal from. Extra pieces that need to go so that I can get the studio in order. I'll be listing these tonight and all through the weekend.

Feng Shui
Read an MSN article today...No matter what sign of the Zodiac under which you were born, you can find some good advice based upon the principles of Feng Shui.
TAURUS responds best to the direction of west-southwest. Earthy colors such as brown and light yellow will support a feeling of greater harmony for easygoing Taureans. The color yellow also represents longevity. The bamboo flute is considered an object that can cure difficult chi flow. It represents peace, safety, and stability. Earthenware objects, such as clay pots full of yellow flowers, are lucky, especially in the western corner of any room.

Getting new idea's for the shop
Idea's for new decals come in an assortment of ways. I opened etsy the other day to find a convo requesting a robot flying a kite. Once I finished the design, I decided that we needed to find a place in our shop for the robot. I love getting emails that inspire me.
Another convo I received had a photo of a column with a clock in the background. The request was for a way to create design that would reflect that photo. I worked on it for awhile then decided to add part of the design into our collection.

A quick trip to the craft store
And I found the perfect feathered friend to live in the shabby chic wire bird cage I've been working on. I have a few finishing touches and I'll share the completed project with you. Once that's complete I have a couple more idea's that I can't wait to get started on. Wire, Fabric, Buttons, Beads....so many idea's!
It's been a busy week around here between work, family and just life in general. When my husband gets home from work tonight, we'll get started on the construction project again....we should be sheetrocking this weekend. I can't wait to have this project wrapped up. It's going to look great but them mess from the construction right in the heart of the house is taking it's toll.

Buttons, Ribbon, Wire and fabric
I have got a plan. While I was at home depot today loading up my big cart with even more 2x4's...I was struck with an idea. So while I was there I grabbed a big roll of wire . I have a big selection of ribbons, buttons and fabric to work with thanks to my sil's who run "the olde world quilt shoppe" in Phoenix. Hopefully I can pull this all together in a way that captures my idea.
I hope to share some images in the morning! HOPE being the key word. I have a busy night ahead.
On a side note....if by chance you're in the Phoenix area you have got to stop by "the olde world quilt shoppe" and check out their Christmas in July sale this week....I'm tempted to hop in the car for a road trip myself. If you haven't had a chance check out their website..
I know they are working on their website, so if your looking for something special and don't see it, send them an email and I bet they can help. They have the best quilt shop I have ever seen.

I was able to finish a couple listing and get them up on our site
I'm lovin' the new funky tree's. I got both of these new designs listed in my etsy shop. I have a couple more to add soon so keep checking back. I'm working in the studio this week during the day and will be helping finish up our construction project at night with my husband. Should make for a busy week. I'm excited to see what all we can accomplish both in the studio and in our home.

Customer Photo's to share
I had to share the photo's I received today along with the email.
"Thank you again for sending me my wall decal so quickly.
I had the perfect spot for it as you can see in my staircases at the heart of the house,
a tree as grown...it really gives a personnal touch, very pleased with it."

My interview with Leah Peterson of tryhandmade.com
I was contacted by Try handmade.com awhile ago about doing and interview. Leah was very easy to work with and just sent me an email to let me know that the interview has been published.

Inspiration
I received a convo the other day looking for a blue whale and a few fish...She sent me a photo of the bedspread that inspired the idea for her sons room. From there we worked together to create a custom set. I took a few elements from that to create a set now available in our store.
She asked for a big blue whale, a few fish and some sea horses. So with that we started but I couldn't resist addind a yellow submarine!
